Additional Information

 March 24, 2020

Dear PLM Clients,

I hope all of you and your families are safe, healthy and staying strong as we all navigate through these new uncharted waters together. Covid-19 has impacted all of our lives in countless ways. I am encouraged to know that we are all doing our part to slow the spread of Covid-19, which will allow us to get back to normal and sustain our way of life in the near future.

We understand that many of you are focused on critical needs currently and aiding in stopping the spread, but I wanted to take a minute to share the current operations within PLM and convey our predictions related to services this season. Overall, PLM is in a good position to conduct business similar to past years. PLM management staff has the ability to work remotely, which has allowed us to continue moving forward with most of our business operations and keep on schedule. Permit applications are still being processed by the State of Michigan and most permits have already been approved by EGLE. PLM staff is currently in the scheduling process for management services and treatment notices will be mailed out in the near future. We are working diligently to ensure we are ready to go when warm weather arrives and meet your treatment and management needs.

Due to the nature of some of the services that PLM provides; hazardous chemical storage/handling, waste water treatments, treatments associated with moving waters and hydroelectric function; we have fallen into the “Critical Infrastructure Workers” category as outlined by Governor Whitmer. In addition to our management staff working remotely to the best of their ability, PLM is keeping each of our offices staffed with only the critical infrastructure workers required and allowed by the Executive Order. PLM has implemented stringent cleaning protocols, using CDC guidelines, for our limited staff working in our offices and warehouses throughout Michigan.

Regarding our predictions to initiate management services this season, please understand that the following is our current position as of March 24, 2020. This assumes that the current Executive Order will be lifted on April 14, 2020, allowing normal business activity to resume. If there is an extension, and in the meantime, we are optimistic that limited PLM operations will still be able to be conducted due to the classification of our services, as stated above. Our staff’s ability to execute social distancing is aided with our work environment, which is usually on a boat. While conducting field operations and/or preparations within our facilities, our staff will continue to do our part to lower the spread, practice social distancing habits and work diligently to ensure we are ready to go when restrictions are lifted. In the meantime, we are continuing to prep for season and are hopeful that we will be able to provide all of our services in a similar format to past years!

If you have questions and need further clarification, please contact your PLM representative. We greatly appreciate you choosing to work with PLM and together, we know we will get through these uncertain times.

Be safe!
